A few people noted that these come with some type of film on them which is true, so be prepared to wipe them down. But the weight seems to be very off. as someone who’s in the gym everyday, the 10 lb feels like a 15lb and the 35lb feels more like a 40lb. otherwise good weights.The dumbbells I received were fantastic! The service was also excellent. I had a question on delivery and the company answered by the end of the day. They out preformed their promise! I will certainly do business with them again.It's a well made 35lb dumbbell, as advertised. What they didn't advertise was the ungodly stench these things put off. Listen, any vinyl rubber product you get is going to off-gas some at first when it's new, but this? It smells like someone took a dump truck full of wet cigarette butts and dumped it onto a raging tire fire. I can smell them from across the room and so have them relegated to the hall closet until I deem the smell is fit to put them into my bedroom. I'm still giving it 4 stars because I know the smell is going to go away over time, I just wish they had done something in the manufacturing to make the initial smell a bit less atrocious.This are really great! Only issue I have is they stain carpet! Don’t leave them directly on the floor. Get a rack for them, or put a towel underneath. Even just placing them for a minute or dragging them to move them leaves a black stain (which does come out with carpet cleaner). As with normal weights, the metal handle will hurt your hand at first if you’re not used to it.They smell terrible. Even after several weeks of use the strong rubber smell is still there. Almost makes you want to gag when using them.Also, they aren’t exactly the same. One is slightly larger than the other and when weighed, one is 35.1 lbs and the other is 36.1 lbs.Most 25lb. weights were going for as high as $125 for a pair, I was able to get these at $100, no smell to complain about as with other models, nor any residue from the rubber. Very sturdy. Make sure to wipe them down thoroughly with a rag or cloth before use. Initial delivery quote was for 10 January, received them on 2 January. Perfect transaction, and absolutely delivers.I ordered a pair of 25 lb dumbbells and I found out they only weigh 21 lbs each. Other than that, the weights themselves actually feel really great in my hands, and I’ll still continue to use them for my work outs.They had a little bit of an odor when received. I believe it was a rust preventative. Could have been from the rubber.. not sure. After a couple of days the smell went away. Aside from that, they have a comfortable knurled handle, and the rubber cover seems to be durable enough. I have no complaints.
