I bought the 1 pound weights and although they are not designed for swimming, that's how I use them. I alternate between my ankles and wrists. They are easy to get on and off. Good weight distribution. The size is a tad big in my opinion but they are fine - I'm not sure how you could make them smaller. The metal pieces that hold the straps are rusting but that's because I'm using them in the water and they were not designed for that so that's my fault. Despite the rust spots, they haven't fallen apart and I don't think they will fall apart. They seem to be of high quality. They are not falling apart.
