These reusable weights will help to create perfect pie crusts by preventing bubbling and shrinking during blind baking , while the unglazed ceramic material ensures even heat distribution for premium results . After fitting the pastry dough into your pan , gently press in a layer of foil or baking paper and line it with the weights . As directed in your recipe , partially bake your pastry crust and when cool , remove the liner and baking beans , then finish baking as directed . Hand-wash your ceramic weights in warm water and air-dry thoroughly before storing . Because the ceramic weight is not glazed, friction during transportation will produce white powder, but the product is made of safety ceramics, so don't worry. You can use wet cloth or warm water before use after hand washing and drying

pie weights 2.3LB and ceramic jar 900ML
We bake a lot of pies and have struggled getting a pre-baked crust to come out right. These pie weights in the crust on parchment paper during baking are a great solution. Things we noted upon receiving them:1. They come in a ceramic container with a bamboo lid with a silicone sealing ring. All seem to be very good quality and were extremely well packaged, in fact they come in a custom styrofoam insert that exactly fits the ceramic pot. It was actually a little difficult to get the ceramic pot out, but we poured the beads into another container (to wash them) and then I could slide the pot out easily by turning it upside down.2. The advertised weight in the listing was 2.2 lbs, although at different places in the listing it said 2.3 or 2 lbs. I weighed them, almost 2.3 lbs. I’d say that’s pretty accurate. And it is enough to pretty much fill a standard size pie crust.3. The beads are white and approximately 11 mm in diameter.Looking forward to lots of well baked pies!
