Moira and two Stott instructors take you through this short yet challenging workout with hand weights. I used two 1 lb. weights like those shown on the cover, and I felt that my arms were quite flexed (think bicep curls) throughout. This is also a full body workout, so don't go in thinking you'll just work on your arms. Done in the well-lit and spacious Stott studio to gentle music, and done mostly lying down, there were awesome stretches, bicep flexing, arm circles, leg circles and ballet-like movements that flowed surprisingly well. Moira gave expert instruction to assist that mat work flow, and each exercise was repeated four times. Refreshingly light and not the usual mat routine, I was able to get out the "cobwebs" in the shoulder areas and truly exhaust the arm muscles. Combine this with Stott's Sunrise Workout (22 minutes), Stott's Ultimate Sculpting (20 minutes of band exercises) or Stott's Total Tone (either the first workout: standing while using a 2 lb. toning ball, or the second workout: lying down using one 2 lb. toning ball, 20 minutes each) for a great 40-minute full body workout. Or, if you're pressed for time, just try the 20-minute Matwork Flow with Weights alone. You'll love it!
